It has been an interesting year exploring the Italian biodynamic researchers work on metabarcoding microbiota in the developing cow manure becoming the Horn Manure preparation and what that gives in the way of understanding of how this preparation supports soil life. It shows that this preparation gives a massive injection of oxygenated (stirring) micro bacteria and funghi and particularly those that create the best and most nourishing conditions for plants to grow – wow!
I love spraying it in my garden, I feel it makes a big difference – how do you find it? or do you use a compost tea instead?
I love both, but mainly use the preps and cowpat prep in the last 20 mins of stirring. However nettle and comfrey teas are a great support and feed for hungry plants in my garden. Just been talking with a farmer about the help to pastures when spraying horn manure onto a field where the animals have just grazed. It is also amazing to see pasture react after cutting hay or silage when sprayed with Horn Manure. Love to hear from anyone doing it how it works from them.
