Its been a bit quiet on the Forum so I thought it was time to make a post!
I have a request from Bulstone Springs in East Devon. They are putting in for AONB funding to help them develop a poultry hatching enteprise for a strain of BD reared birds that have originated from a new breed in Germany.
If you have trouble finding BD reared poultry (POL’s or chicks) these birds will produce both eggs and meat while having excellent provenance. This is in contrast to the specialist, mostly French strains of birds that are typically currently available in the UK. Bulstone are testing the market for these type of birds and if this is something you would be interested in the future or know someone who might, then please contact them directly and urgently with a short written statement of support telling why you would favour these type of birds over your usual supply. You might want to add what quantity you would be interested in.
